Business Development Manager
The Company has a strong presence throughout Europe on most major Freight ferry routes and also provides additional services to strengthen this.
The Company offers unit load services throughout Europe as well as providing customers with a useful backload service.
They also provide Fuel Cards and Toll facilities throughout Europe which and more recently has invested a significant amount to developing Truck Park / Logistical services Facilities.
Due to an internal promotion a Business Development Manager is required to cover the GB mainland.
The role is home based within England, Wales and Scotland and nights away from home can be expected.
The position is Permanent.
Key Features of the Role:
As the Business Development Manager your main area of activity will be account management and new business sales for Ferry Bookings and Motorway Tolls.
You will achieve sales and margin targets based on a commercial plan.
You will win and retain profitable new business in line with company standards.
You will grow retained customer numbers to achieve agreed standards.
Y9ou will have an effective journey plan to ensure appropriate levels of regular contact to achieve targets with planned objectives and outputs for each call.
You will work within the Commercial Team and suppliers to maximise opportunities.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ideally you will be an accomplished Business Development Manager with knowledge of road haulage sales to the haulage and freight sectors.
You will be career focused and motivated towards driving substantial growth across the GB mainland and be interested in developing a career within man management.
A natural confident communicator and negotiator you must understand what it takes to deliver a quality service to business customers and be capable of forging your own sales plans.
You will be numerate, have excellent presentation and communication skills, be able to communicate at all levels and be decisive, assertive and persuasive.
You will enjoy a level of autonomy and therefore must be highly self-motivated to achieve agreed goals.
You will have strong negotiating and relationship skills and able to manage your own time effectively.
A full driving licence is a prerequisite and nights away from home is to be expected.
