The Managing Director of Logistics Job Shop had a 20 year corporate career in third party logistics (Operations Director & Commercial Director) for 2 leading third party logistics companies before creating his own logistics company in 2006 working with SMEs to improve their supply chain operations.
The Managing Director is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) and the Regional Chairman for the South West (UK).
Logistics Job Shop (LJS) was created in 2010 to reflect the changing requirements of online recruitment and to fill the gap between generalist job boards and traditional contingent agency recruitment.
Until Logistics Job Shop was active in 2012 there was no niche logistics job boards advertising traditional permanent logistics roles, from hourly paid driving and warehousing roles to senior Management and technical positions. This was exemplified by the fact that a number of leading logistics companies were using generalist job boards as part of their standard recruitment processes.
Logistics Job Shop has now established itself as a complete Job Platform for the Logistics and Supply Chain industry.
In April 2013 Logistics Job Shop was awarded 2 year contract as the single Job Platform for a leading Supply Chain solutions provider replacing a large number of recruitment agencies that were used across the business previously.
On the 1st of May 2013 LJS was also awarded a 2 year extended contract as the preferred recruitment partner for a global market leader within Freight Forwarding.
Logistics Job Shop has already got preferred recruitment partner status for many other logistics organisations including a large, high profile distribution/retail organisation.
Logistics Job Shop is unique in offering an end to end recruitment service to the Logistics and Supply Chain industry.
It has built up a database of over 61,000 logistics professionals over 7 years of offering recruitment services and is receiving an average of 1670 new registrations per month.
